General Responsibilities:

  • Abide and comply with accrediting, state and federal policies in the areas of instruction and relevant areas. 
  • Assist in maintaining daily student records and log into school software.
  • Administer the scheduling process to maximize student/teacher ratios and classroom utilization.
  • Develop and implement retention policies and practices.
  • Take part in curriculum enhancement and development as directed by Director of Education
  • Assist Director of Education for the mission of the school
  • Work with Director of Placement to ensure student placement and mentoring.
  • Adhere to employee and faculty policies
  • Be present at all graduations.
  • Teach a minimum one community course as assigned per month.
  • Participate in demonstrations, events and after school actives as scheduled within agreement.
  • Participates in school retention initiatives by providing regular, accurate, and timely feedback to students and the school concerning academics, behavior, attendance, etc.
  • Motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process.
  • Complete professional development and in-service activities in accordance with college standards.
  • Maintain expertise in subject area and recommend improvements in curriculum design.
  • Instruct students in laboratory safety procedures if applicable.
  • When possible, participate in core course academic support programs, certification programs, and student professional associations.
  • Need to be proficient in all areas of pastry and  baking
